Flower cart

I have always admired beautifully decorated gardens and green spaces in magazines or online blogs. I have dreamed of having a similar corner in my own yard, typical for someone who grew up and lives in an apartment.

For several years now, my parents have been living year-round at their villa near Sofia, and every spring, the whole family is inspired to make the yard a small floral paradise. We experiment with different types of flowers, shrubs, trees, decorating them in appropriate compositions and containers to create our relaxing oasis, which we enjoy until late autumn.

This year, we added a handmade cart from Dad to the exterior with the idea of turning it into a colorful waterfall, covered in delightful, fragrant petunia flowers. Petunias are not usually fussy flowers, but their flowers are delicate and easily damaged by heavy rains when grown outdoors. This was the biggest challenge we faced this spring, due to the heavy and frequent rains. Mom had created a special rain cover for the cart, which she put on whenever heavy rains and hail were forecast.

With minor damage, we managed to save the flowers.
